Les Williams, Past PresidentnSociety Graphic Fine Art, Watercolour Artist.
Les Williams loves working with dip pen and watercolour wash, working on the urban landscapes of London and the rural scenes of Norfolk. He has travelled widely and looks to record his travels in sketchbooks. Drawing and painting on location adds a vibrancy to work, that cannot be easily replicated in the studio.
Trained at the Royal Drawing School, and under some of the leading tutors of watercolour in the United Kingdom, he finds inspiration in the life and buildings of the City of London. Having worked there for many years. “It is impossible not to be impressed by how buildings and areas rapidly change, providing so many opportunities to record history in the making”.
Les is Past President and Hon of the Society of Graphic Fine Arts, and a Council member of the Lloyd’s Art Group, Essex Art Group, and West Norfolk Artists Association.
In June, Les participates in the North Norfolk Open Studios in the village of Castle Acre, and with the SGFA at the Mall Galleries in March.
My Art Store contains a variety of my current unframed work. I am also happy to undertake commissions, please get in touch for further information.
